in Hong Kong. The main objective of this webpage
is to provide comforts and confidence to fellow
NPC patients and other cancer patients and

Patient Stories
"When I was very ill and things looked
their worst, nothing was more inspiring to
me than reading about how other patients survived
against the odds and coped with their situations."

Andy
& Tonsil Cancer
"He's currently 53. He doesn't
drink very often. He smoked for several
years, but quit about 15 years ago.
5% of those who get Tonsil Cancer will not
be attributed to Drinking & Smoking.
And they feel Andy is in this category.
What was interesting to me was to find out
that heavy Drinkers can get this & other
Oral Cancers, I thought it was just smokers.
And the combination of Drinking & Smoking
is deadly!" |

Bad
Bob Takes On Monster and Winning
"... never a thought entered our
minds that one sore throat could change our
lives. .. Bobby was one of the healthiest
people I have ever known. He was 46 years
old, and had worked out all his life. He was
a boxer for many years in the past and now
was a power race walker, which I may add,
the fastest in our city. He did not smoke,
nor drink, ate healthy and worked out 5 days
a week. " Claire, his wife, tells
the story.

Oral
Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Neck
"That was my diagnosis on 8/29/97.
My life changed that day. While researching
my disease, I found quite a bit of information,
but not much in the way of "how it feels"
to go through it. That's why I put up this
web site. Hopefully, if you have been diagnosed
with this, or know someone who has, you will
find something useful, comforting, or new
here. My hope is that it will help you to
put things into perspective. It's no fun,
but it can be done..." |
