Went to St Luke’s Hospital for an appointment
that Sarah Cost had arranged for me. My own
consultant Mr Bem is on holiday for a fortnight
and she did not want to leave it that long
so had made me an appointment to see Mr Sood.
Mr Sood checked me over and said yes there
was a swelling in the remains of my parotid
gland which may just be a build up of fluid,
however, he said I should have a MRI scan
on my neck to make sure nothing else was going
on. Hopefully my scan will be next week so
I have to go back and see him in a fortnight.
So hopefully there is nothing going on. As
those of you with this disease will understand
it’s like being in limbo and waiting
to either go to heaven (all clear) or hell
(off with another bout of medical treatment
with no guarantee of success).
