I did not get up until 10:30am this morning. No
blood this morning and my stomach seems to have
cleared up. I seem to have a small lump on my right-hand
side, which was not there yesterday or, if it was,
I missed it. Am I getting paranoid? I will ring
someone tomorrow about it.
Went to the job centre today with my claim forms
and it seems I should be claiming statutory sick
pay through my company. They say I may not be able
to get any other benefits. If this is the case how
do I pay my rent, gas, electricity etc? I am thinking
of closing my business down, as I will not be able
to carry on doing the work that I do after my operation.
I will have to keep paying my accountant if I don’t
close it so that would also be a problem. I must
give this advice to anyone who reads this and works
for themselves, make sure you get income replacement
insurance while you’re healthy because it’s
too late, if like me you don’t and then become
ill. My sister Louise called today, as did Anthony
and Cheryl. I seem to be eating a bit better now.
I am glad I started to write this diary it will
be a never ending story of my fight against cancer
and if, per chance, I loose then I hope someone
will complete it for me. If it helps one person
to come to terms with their cancer, it will not
have been in vain. |
