Weekdays spent going back and forth to Cookridge
for my radiotherapy. My eating gradually became
harder and harder due to mouth ulcers and swelling
accompanied by pain in my throat. I also lost a
lot of weight. On starting my radiotherapy, I was
16 stone and by the time I was taken into hospital
I had dropped to just over 13 stone. The skin on
my neck on the area of radiotherapy had begun to
weep and break up with bleeding and scabs.
