World Of Warcraft
Sat in my office in Kilkenny Southern Ireland.
I have just taken up this job managing the design side of construction of bridges on Phase 4 of the N9/10. I arrived in Ireland on 13th June. Three weeks before I came I had gone for a scan on my bowls to see if I had a hernia. Two days before leaving the UK I got a letter to say they had found a small nodule at the base of my right lung (same side as my cancer). This as you can imagine caused shivers down my spine. The letter said that they would arrange for me to have a chest scan. I telephoned the hospital to inform them I was off to work away in two days and thankfully they arranged for this to be done the next day. However on my day of departure I was informed that they now wanted me to have a PET scan (why did they not do this yesterday). I informed them that I was at the airport and asked could it wait till the end of June when I would be back in the UK. They informed me that would be ok.
I now have it arranged for the 30th June 10:30. I am off to China on the 5th July for a month so hope they don’t find anything that can interfere with this. If it is the cancer returned hopefully they can delay treatment. The other side is from what I have gleaned from on this site and other sources when it spreads to your lungs it is only a matter of time before it beats you. Still I am not to downhearted as I have had the best part of 4 years of exciting and fulfilling life that I would not have had without treatment.
Well that’s it for now will update after my scan.
