Sunday 26th September 2004
Quiet day today. My wife called and took me to her
house for an hour, which was nice. I had cheese
on toast for tea. My Marie Curie nurse came at 10:00pm
to sit. I had been coughing a great deal today.
At 10:00pm I went to take my nighttime medication,
however when I started to flush my feeding tube
the water felt like it was coming out at the level
of my Adams apple instead of my stomach as normal.
I had also now got a sore throat, which had started
in the last couple of days. I told Kirsty my nurse
about this and after some telephoning around, I
ended up at the local A & E. My tube was then
replaced. This gave me instant relive from my sore
throat.
